چکیده
Aeromonas , a ubiquitous taxon in water environments, is emerging as foodborne pathogen of concern that remains understudied and under-reported. We evaluated the distribution 331 spp. isolates collected from irrigation over one year characterised their virulence profile, attachment ability to persist on lettuce. Water sources included non-tidal tidal river, farm pond reclaimed water. Twenty species were identified; A. veronii hydrophila jandaei predominated all types seasons, comprising ~63% isolates. Species was most affected by type. The highest lowest diversity detected river water, respectively. ranked frequency fresh while first Only two carried five genes tested, 46% ( n = 50), 54% 61) 50% 32) harboured multiple enterotoxin genes. Possible virulence factors of Aeromonas spp. from food and water.
Thirty-one isolates of Aeromonas spp. from food and water in Norway were classified and tested for possible virulence factors including cytotoxins (tissue cultures, PCR), enterotoxins (PCR) and invasion ability (Caco-2 cells). Five different species were recorded, A. caviae (9/31), A. hydrophila (15/31), A. schubertii (3/31), A. trota (3/31) and A. veronii biovar veronii (1/31). One of the A. h...

Diversity and Virulence Profile of Aeromonas From Potable Water
Aeromonas spp. are autochthonous in the aquatic ecosystem and some of them has been increasingly found, in patients with various diseases like enteritis, wound infection and even septicemia in amphibians, reptiles, frog, fish and in patients with impaired immunity. There are different virulence factors like aerolysin, hemolysins, cytotoxins, enterotoxins, proteolytic activity, lipolytic activit...

AIM This study was conducted to evaluate the presence of Aeromonas spp. in raw and ready-to-eat (RTE) fish commonly consumed in Assiut city, Egypt, and to determine virulence factors due to they play a key role in their pathogenicity. MATERIALS AND METHODS A total of 125 samples of raw and RTE fish samples were taken from different fish markets and fish restaurants in Assiut Governorate and s...
متن کاملDiversity and antibiotic resistance of Aeromonas spp. in drinking and waste water treatment plants.
The taxonomic diversity and antibiotic resistance phenotypes of aeromonads were examined in samples from drinking and waste water treatment plants (surface, ground and disinfected water in a drinking water treatment plant, and raw and treated waste water) and tap water. Bacteria identification and intra-species variation were determined based on the analysis of the 16S rRNA, gyrB and cpn60 gene...
